Welcome | Introduction | Prayers | Today's Reading | "Biblog" | Q&A | Index | Downloads Daily Lectionary The Daily Lectionary pages are intended to help you "Be in the Word" of God on a daily basis. While the plan we are following to read through the whole Bible in one church year begins on December 1 and ends on November 30, you are welcome to join in at any time.(You may pick up where we are on the date you start, or you can begin with December 1st's readings and go from there.) The book of Acts (8:26-39) tells how a man from Ethiopia was reading the book of Isaiah when Philip asked him if he understood what he was reading. The Ethiopian replied in part, "How can I, except some man should guide me?" (Acts 8:31 KJV). So, using what the man was reading, Philip preached Jesus to him. Unlike the Ethiopian, you are not lacking a guide for your reading. While the Holy Spirit is the one Who ultimately guides us into all truth (John 16:13), the Holy Spirit works through means. Our prayer is that these Daily Lectionary pages are such means for you. This online Daily Lectionary guides you with a variety of pages:
You can do your reading when and where it is convenient for you, spending as little or as much time as you like. You can ask any question you want to ask without worrying what someone else might think of you for asking. We think this is an ideal resource, and those who have used it tend to agree.
